Allm partners with Siemens Healthineers to close the gap in mobile communication in hospitals and clinical environments

Allm Inc., a multinational developer of mobile communications platforms for the healthcare industry, has announced its partnership with Siemens Healthineers to bring Join, a safe, secure and certified communication app to hospitals through the Siemens Healthineers digital marketplace. The app facilitates communication among medical professionals in a hospital or between different medical facilities via messaging, image sharing and video chatting. The partnership has been announced at HIMSS 2019 in Orlando, Florida.

Join tackles major challenges occurring during intra- and inter-hospital communication for multidisciplinary teams: When the life of the patient is on the line, Doctors need to make quick decisions based on the information and medical images they have at hand – communication is key. But expertise and knowledge are not evenly distributed and not always available without losing valuable time.

Join closes this communication gap and provides both smooth communication and mobile access to medical images, e.g. from modalities or PACS via the embedded DICOM viewer. Specialists are thus able to help their colleagues with proper instructions, even if they are not on the site. Of course the app follows privacy policies and is fully GDPR-proof.

„We are happy to be able to partner with the Siemens Healthineers as a solution partner to offer Siemens Healthineers clinical partners thru JOIN mobile access to their clinical images, so that they can provide the best healthcare possible. Together with Siemens Healthineers we will expand our Allm offerings to a larger customer group globally and raise healthcare standards around the world“, said Teppei Sakano, Founder and CEO Allm Inc.

„We are evolving our digital ecosystem, extending our portfolio of partner solutions into the mobile world with Allm partnership. Join extends communication and collaboration capability of teamplay cloud platform enabling our customers to share images to a mobile device as an extension of our core application teamplay images“, said Christoffer Seubert, Head of Partner Management Digital Ecosystem at Siemens Healthineers.
